The fan made version is the best one. It’s gonna take me a few listens to appreciate the new version.
Its not so much the editing I have a problem with on either song… it’s that it neither one feels like a real duet. Jacksons duet songs like just good friends, the girl is mine, say say say or state of shock all feel like the vocals play off of each other and compliment the different singing styles so well. These just feel so glued together haphazardly. They don’t compliment each other and feel like they’re both trying to sing over one another. Maybe thats because this song is not a real duet so they should try to play it off as one. Its just not fun to listen to.
I wish these two singers did a proper collaboration. Neither this or their State of Shock version feel or sound as powerful and amazing as they should given that they are two of some of the best male vocalists of all time.
Badly produced new version, calm down on the guitars!
It’s a Freddie Mercury song, MJ should only come in at:
“Why is this world so full of hate, people dying everywhere. And we destroy what we create, people fighting for their human rights…..
(Duet) “But we just go on saying c’est la vie….So this is life”
That’s It.
I agree exactly. That one bridge line was perfect for Michael, that’s it.
The rest is for Mercury.
Don’t do anything
just the way it is
This was Mercury’s song. Michael frankly sounds too wimpy , and not enough avidity or plea. Mercury has more soul and gusto.
The Thriller 3D project with Landis should have been negotiated years ago. He finally got paid! It’s going to be polished and stellar
