With the release of Epic Records’ next Michael Jackson single only a week away, the first clue regarding the music video has been revealed.
Today the official Michael Jackson Facebook account posted a picture taken at the location of the “A Place With No Name” music video shoot.
“What do you think ‘A Place With No Name’ looks like?” asks the post. “The director of the short film for the song thought this ‘Place’ was a good location for his shoot.” The director of the music video remains unknown.

A release date for the official Epic Records / MJ Estate music video has not yet been announced, despite strong speculation among fans that the upcoming MTV VMAs, which take place on August 24, will be used to debut the clip.
This news comes a little over a week after the Estate confirmed that Cirque du Soleil’s ‘MJ ONE’ cast has also created a video, albeit an unofficial one, for “A Place With No Name”.
“While we are aware that the MJ ONE cast decided to create their own video to celebrate Michael’s new album, it is NOT connected in any way to the release of the next single or any official video that the Estate and Sony may be working on in conjunction with that release,” they said in a statement to fans.
The MJ ONE video was directed by Kany Diabaté and shot by Aaron Felske and is expected to be unveiled in the next week or so.

This utopian and heavenly city of love, peace and happiness has palm trees?
Or is the filming studio located where there are palm trees?
Please don’t tell me this perfect place is not on a tropical island? Not another trite fantasy island ideal with white clothes …look boss, the plane, the plane! So many creative CGI/fantasy/Emerald Cityesque possibilities rather then an excuse to go to make another beach video with rolling waves and a sunset. Better not happen LOL
I suppose I will have to wait without jumping to conclusions
Umm what is the problem? I don’t seem to understand.
There is no problem because there is no video available.
But I was merely speculating due a palm tree photo clue to the video production setting. Based on the fact that the estate seems to consistently screw things up or disappoint, and has produced nothing groundbreaking or original, only trite dance montages that don’t look anything better than dozens of fanmade montages on YouTube, I predicted the video translation of a utopian setting as a tropical beach. I hope it is not, because I find the beach ideal of paradise as overused and unimaginitive.
Who knows, maybe it turns out to be an incredible beach video, or the palm tree has nothing to due with a tropical setting.
I agree with you. The estate is screwing Xscape. I believed that they promoted Michael better. The videos they released with Michael were better. Videos like that of Hollywood Tonight is what we need for Xscape. Something that honours Michael’s way of making videos. They are over-doing that fans-dancing-to-his-song thing. Every video they have released for Xscape shows that only. It looked sweet when they did it for Hold My Hand and Behind The Mask but now it is getting irritating. Also I hate the cover of Xscape. Michael had a way better cover.
I must be a freaking mind reader…lol
You just expected the estate to drop the ball didn’t you?
The most trite and worse scenario possible
All too easy to predict these tools
they should have worked out a way to shoot the video at Neverland before it gets sold off
I hope its not shot on a beach. I imagine a surreal Utopian land with mystical creatures roaming, a place with no fear or hatred but not a national geographic wonders of the world video.
I need to get mine, I had a surgery go wrong and now have a hole in my abdomen.
