With the release of Michael Jackson’s “A Place With No Name” as the second single from the ‘XSCAPE’ just weeks away, the cast of Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Michael Jackson ONE’ production have put together a special video to promote the song and album.
The video was directed by MJ ONE performer and life-long Jackson fan Kany Diabaté, who worked with together Cirque du Soleil’s photographer and videographer Aaron Felske on the project. Felske served as director of photography.
Those involved with the project hope fans will feel Jackson’s inspiration and presence in the final product, but have remained tight-lipped about the content of the video itself, which features members of the MJ ONE cast.

Contrary to rumors circulating among fans, the clip will not serve as the official “A Place With No Name” music video. Sony Music and The Estate of Michael Jackson have been working independently on the official video which they hope will help the single make an impact on the charts.
“While we are aware that the MJ ONE cast decided to create their own video to celebrate Michael’s new album, it is NOT connected in any way to the release of the next single or any official video that the Estate and Sony may be working on in conjunction with that release,” said The Official Online Team of The Michael Jackson Estate in an email today.
Instead the MJ ONE team’s video will be used to unofficially promote the album and single. The same concept was executed by the cast of Cirque’s ‘IMMORTAL’ for the song “Blue Gangsta,” and by the DanceOn crew for “Love Never Felt So Good” – both of which have had more than one million views on YouTube since their release two months ago. Check them out below:

Hope that the Estate is coming up with an spectacular or atleast decent idea for the official music video. MJ as an animated charactere would be great.
I don’t care too much for these dancing montage videos. Does anyone truly watch the backup dancers. Because that’s what they do, back up, in the background. I know they are great. I know they are talented. But if you’ve seen one vegas show dancing, you’ve seen them all. The Jamie King choreography as far as dancing goes all looks the same to me. Kicking their legs, humping the floor with that serious Fame/She’s a Maniac/Flashdance faces. The Blue Gangster thing they did was just for fun, harmless, and obviously low budget, but honestly it’s more for themselves than as far as I’m concerned because it’s boring in my opinion.
There are endless possibilities to tell a story without yet another trite dance montage. I hope the official video does something original, creative, and artistic such as animation, CGI, drawings, acting, etc…For example I thought some of the footage created for the This Is It concert was stellar. Tell a story…
Agree. If you do not feel like watching the video over a 100 times they have failed the job and his legacy.
Slave to the Rhythm Audien mix is out. I think it is good for what it is…good EDM that is
Lorde Tennis Court is brilliant-impactful, simple, original, memorable, iconic. Telling a story is not always necessary. It’s the strongest approach but there are more possibilities besides trite dance montages. Get creative leaders!
What is this :-O Is it something huge? Or just a fan trying to be funny?

Zack O’Malley Greenburg writes that Tom Barrack is putting Neverland up for sale.

I am in 2 minds about this. Maybe they should get rid of Neverland and build a replica with a less extensive land around it in an area more accessible to the public, and this should be to house mj items and serve as his legacy like an mj museum. Like a MJ Graceland but better.
The real Neverland is too remote and also how do you secure mjs items in a property miles away from anything.
It’s not just remote, it would never happen. Even if it were geographically and demographically possible and feasible, no way you can afford to attempt to overcome local political and ordinance hurdles.
Heckuva good job. I sure apatceipre it.
